1/ The .avi file, the .idx file and the .sub file must have the exact same name.
2/ The .sfv files are useless for me, don't understand why they're there.
3/ If the subtitles don't run automatically you just need to right click on the screen of your player while playing the movie, go to the subtitle section and click "active if available" or such.
This worked great for me. Thx uploader!

you just have to extract the .idx files and .sub files in the zip files to CD1 & CD2 files with Winzip for the subs to work.
Thats how I got the subs to work for me anyway.
Just thought I'd put that here for anyone who wasn't quite sure what to do,
