If I ever get to the point where I could drop $200+ for software and not think about it, I probably wouldn't torrent anymore. I think I will still keep coming to KAT because the community is one of the better ones I have ever been involved in, but where I am it is illegal to "pirate" and whether I agree with the law or not, I would rather not be on the wrong side of it as much as I can avoid. :)

You didn´t think that episode 4 was about 1 character?
Practically the entire episode was about the Police Chief.
Even the scenes of the step son & daughter were tied in to his previous comments/actions as was the scene at the end.
I would agree that the story wasn´t as entertaining as the previous episode, but I think it was focused.

I know this question wasn't posed to me, but I hope you don't mind if I put my two cents in. If you do, just let me know and I shall delete it.
I agree it was much more focused than the first episode in which we got a ton of characters to try and absorb, but even though they tried to tie that whole baby Jesus thing involving his daughter back to the Police Chief, I still think it was too much about her and her attitude than it was about him.
And the entire piece about Tommy and the Asian girl really did nothing for progression of the police chief or I think even for the Holy Wayne storyline. I mean it may have been for a little action, and the requisite penis/bum shot (thank you for that HBO. :P lol), but I didn't think it quite fit in.
Please don't get me wrong, I don't think EVERY episode should focus solely on one character and one character only. Actually, from a story telling point, this episode didn't bother me as much. My own humble impression is that the third episode, with the Reverend, caught my attention the most and made me engrossed and that is the measuring stick I am using with all other episodes to date. So I am with GratefulDawg7201 in that aspect that I WANT to know about the characters and I liked the episode where they focused on one. :)

Sat through the first 4 and just cannot get into it. Pulled it off my schedule.

I am with you on this one. I am trying to get into it, because I really do like the idea, and I really enjoyed the third episode, but if they aren't going to tell you what happened to the 2% who disappeared....then it hold no draw for me.
It's like me watching MGardens10018 life after the "rapture". Is he going to join a crazy cult, is he going to start smoking and stop talking, is he going to start shooting dogs? Really, however you deal with your loss, however important it may be to you, is not entertaining for me.
What is keeping me hoping is to find out the origins of the different groups, the chain smoking self mutes, Holy Wayne and his "baby". With the third episode, I like how they gave you some of the background of the Reverend, but that leads to the question, after they give you the history of each of the groups, what then? Especially if they aren't going to tell you what happened, then you know that those people searching for an answer will never get it.
I mentioned once before it's like an irritant to watch. I want to stop, but I want to know. Maybe I will just cut the cord and let it go. A few more episodes and we'll see.
I know TheLemur6865 has links to the Last Ship and Extant. Are you watching them too?

Episode 4....back to macro. As much as I want to like the show, it's not really working with me. I am intrigued with certain aspects, the people in white definitely especially after this episode. I don't think I really give two hoots about Holy Wayne, but to be fair they haven't really delved into that storyline yet. I am hating the police chief's daughter more and more.
I have a couple of questions, but considering this is only Monday I don't want to spoil the episode for others. Suffice it to say, I am still curious enough to watch another episode or two.

Episode 5, the worst episode so far. :( So cliched, so over the top. Gag. They need to get back to furthering the story, or deepening the characters. This episode was definitely a throw away.

I am looking for A Chess Omnibus by Edward Winter. Published June 1st 2003 by Russell Enterprises ISBN-10: 1888690178, please. I don't think it has an e-book format, but I know you guys do amazing things and find things that don't exist. ;)
Let me thank you in advance for trying guys! (btw, I have googled it, and only Amazon seems to be selling it and for much more than I can afford, which is why I chose to ask here :))
EDIT: I had forgotten my "pleases" and "thank yous". I said them in my head, they just didn't get to my fingers. :D

Just watched The Divide. It's a show about an almost lawyer who works with the Innocence Project. The Innocence Project takes on cases of wrongly convicted people and tries to get them justice. Not a new idea, I know, but after watching the first episode (which is actually the first two), I was hooked.
I would love to tell you it was because of the great storyline, or the great acting, production value or whatnot, but while all were good, none of it was exceptional. Yet, I am intrigued. I want to find out more about the main characters, I want to find out where the story goes from here, I want to see what surprises the writers come up with.
It's hard to talk about it without spoiling anything, so just suffice it to say that it is worth a look. It has its drama, suspense, intrigue, action but without being overly done or playing on some uber psuedo sophisticated level.
It's also on the WE (women's entertainment) network, which is usually strike one for me, but while the main lead is a female, she doesn't appear to be either a) a man hating, super strong to the point of being invincible super genius or b) a weepy crier over-emotional mess. She appears to be a normal human being, with feelings and emotions, strengths and weakness that I, as a male, can relate to "normal" women I know.
Definitely a bookmarked show for me and I excitedly look forward to the next episode.

I have a Sennheiser U320 from about 2 years ago. It's on the cheaper end, and made for gaming, but I love it for music too. The bass boosts are really noticeable. I have to admit though I am into rap and hip/hop which, as you know, tend to be heavier on the bass so it works well for me.loveliness

Just finished watching 24 Live Another Day, and it was exceptional! I like the shorter 12 hour format. With 24 you get what you expect, the action, drama, tension. Even the storyline, which had been the bane of the last few seasons, was pretty decent. Most of the "surprises" were predictable, but that in no way detracts from the enjoyment of the series.
The final episode was classic 24, the one big difference I noticed was an upgrade in the music. I don't know if they placed more emphasis on it matching the mood, but it really meshed well.
Now that it's done, it has reignited that desire to see Jack Bauer back in action. I hope they decide to make another 12 episodes because they definitely have a fan in me.
EDIT: My fingers type things my brain didn't say. :D
