MMA is for wannabees. Some could say its the future, thats only because of mass commercialism and cool films . I come from a boxing,Muay Thai, kickboxing background. Id rather master each art individually then a couple of things out of each one.
That still kinda sounds like Mixed Martial Arts to me titter

MMA 3 years running. To me boxing is a show sport, MMA is the street defensive style, anyhow legs can go further than arms any day.
Cant beat a good old Round house to the temple lol

Been A Fan of MMA since it was called Chinese(No offense meant) Kickboxing!, Twice the Action (Actually 10X), Twice the fun.. Its more than shuffle, punch, duck, punch, repeat......
I have trained in Gung fu, but now that I'm older, I'm Doing Tai-Chi. Anybody interested I've got over 500 books covering 40+ styles, including Most if not all Of Bruce Lee's and Dan Inasanto....And One on Gracies Diet even...

Ya Silva has definitely been the most exciting thing in the sport since the days of Gracie camp domination.

I just don't like Dana White, his attitude like he invented the sport, or his Vince MacMahan style of trying to buy up every other promotion company.

Like him or hate him Dana White is the reason why MMA is as popular as it is now. His attitude is understandable, just like McMahan's attitude. Without Dana White doing the things he's done with the UFC, MMA wouldn't be where it is now.
As for Gracie, honestly he wasn't very dominate. Look who he fought. Mainly un trained people who like to fight. It was MMA back then tbh. It was brawling. Hair pulling, nut punching were allowed. Once they started to set rules, Gracie became overrated. Look how Hughes mauled him in there last fight.

MMA is more intense and exciting to watch but classic boxing match ups before it became a massive sham for cash were awesome too.
