Well it was 2009 November end when my father bought this broadband connection. After some weeks I got kinda bored and I asked my best friend in school to tell me something new about internet. Then he told me about torrent, just told you could download anything from there, I came home, googled it and downloaded uTorrent and downloaded my first torrent "Hitman" game. Then I searched about top 10 torrent sites and found TPB, ET and KAT. I joined KAT 2.5 years ago, but I was addicted to ET and so left KAT, forgot the username and password, after 1 year came back in KAT and made this account ( https://kat.ph/user/sampsfan/ ). Still I was ET addict but again returned to KAT after about 5 months, just had account and came here only when I didn't found any torrent anywhere else. But when I got promoted to SU and meanwhile what happened to me on ET and left ET and now a KAT enthusiast and I find this the best site I have ever been on :) and yeah, I started as a noob, learned uploading, got skilled with time, degraded with time (:P) and knocked up and now trying to be a helping hand. Started downloadin music about 10yrs ago with Napster and AudioGalaxy (I still miss that site). Dabbled with torrents about the same time on advice of a friend but maintaining a ratio of 1:1 was usually the minimum requirement and it was way to much on dial up. Started up again about 3yrs ago just to grab some movies never released in the UK. Tried most of the big name sites but KAT was my first time uploading mainly because I know a lot more about online security to take the risk now.
. Previous to torrents it was swapping cd's/dvd'd through the mail with people from bulletin boards. Now that was daft, looking back quite a few guys got caught, computers confiscated etc. . I like the simplicity of torrent sites nowadays, no ratio nazis everywhere (although these days I'm around 2:1). I've no doubt the bubble will burst sometime and there will be a year or two of paying for stuff before a new system comes along. But til it does I'll be using them.
