What is the best software to use for burning MKV and AVI files to standard AND blu ray disks?

whilst we in the subject of software for mac, does any one have a link or can someone recommend software to convert mkv, mp4 files n to avi files?

Hi there again, I'm using a Mac (processor 2.13 Ghz, core duo, with 2Gb 800 mhz memory). Toast titanium 11 keeps crashing on me. Am I doing something wrong? It's taken a file of 600mb about 2 hours to convert from mkv to divX hd. Someone please help.
