Thanks, it's hard not to though isn't it? Opinions are just that, meaningless really, but it is interesting to watch all the same.

Same scheme as the invasion of Iraq in 2003, with the same consequences and all

My reply contained everything needed as far as logic and argument. I'm not too concerned whether Iran gets nukes or not b/c it would be the end of the Middle East not the end of the West. At most it would result in higher prices at the pump and some stock market activity. However, I happen to like the Persian people; just not the leader who wishes to obtain nukes, then use them...these are his words not mine.
.
However your post is interesting b/c you claim you are not Iranian but keep using the "We" word as if this issue is about your country. Perhaps it is more suitable and honest for you to admit you are wearing USA Hate glasses.
.
You can not win the logic argument on this one...the image above is an appeal to emotion and for the uninitiated the hook sets deep in their mouthes..
.
Now to address the elephant in the room. The moment Iran gets close to building the weapon Israel will attack Iran and wipe out all their investment. I venture to guess that will upset you the most....and will please me the most. Can we agree on that?

lol the chart makes iran seem so innocent...yet they just recently foiled the iranian plot to kill the saudi ambassador to the u.s., and then there were the killings of israeli ambassadors in india, azerbaijan, and the attempted ambassador killing in thailand...their hands are far from clean.
they should add lines to that chart about brutally killing their own people, cracking down on the least bit of dissent, no freedom of speech, no equal rights, stealing elections, puppet presidencies, an insane judicial system based on sharia law...i could go on and on but i think those things alone more than tip the balance of the scales the other way.

If Iran makes nuclear weapon 2 things can happen:

1. USA and Europe launch attack. Share the spoils of war and end up with than what they had before.

2. Nothing will happen. New war=new prices=new tax=1% gets more money=crash of USA and some European countries (aka fight for your home not your country)

I go along with the Seeds school of thought on this one, stay out of politics and controversy because I disturb my serenity and thats never good. "Ignorance is bliss" perhaps - or perhaps I just like to argue face to face so I can see who is serious and who isnt wink
So why am I posting then. Just wanted to say Divaville375 , always a voice of reason has quote of the day for me "Faust teaches us we only own our souls....and it must never be for sale". most definitely the final word on rep points I think. biggrin

I'm enjoying this, even if it is costing me rep lol.
It's interesting to see where contributors stand on this, opinion is formed in the ego mind, and there seems to be a few rather large egos at battle here biggrin
Let the war of words continue while I watch on whilst sipping my sancerre from the hill.

it's also one-sided. The BBC 3 part series gives a better two-sided view of the issues.

so sirseedalot what you think iran should stop making nuclear weapons?
i am not irani but i see to whom iran is real threat...
let me see what you have under your huud?
and the knowledge on which you claim your judgements?

In my openion, the picture describes a lots of logic, but if you are using usa love glasses you are right to ignore these universal logics as a mother ignores about her son...lol
We donot hate any country we hate their ways.
We donot threat any country but for those who are threat to us
we love our country and its our right to defend it against any threat
If the threat if greater so we will make ourselves greater so that we defend ourselves successfully

No argument can stand against fact.
The rhetoric in the replies on this blog are all based in non-fact.
