I had a few favourites, one of them was Shinobi, that was pure class. Another was Final Fight, and of course dont forget bubble bobble. keep remembering more as I type - New Zealand Story was good game, ghouls & goblins too... alot of time and money invested!!

I used to LOVE mame, i had THOUSANDS of great games from around the world on my external, and it doesn't use much of the cpu to run, kept me occupied when i didn't have internet access.

Hey bro, thnx for sending me a PM to your blog man. I been looking for these roms all night, I went to the same website's as your links at top but the roms wouldn't work for me. Idk if it was the emulator or the roms, am I supposed to have some sort of bios for mame and if so how do I place it in the right place?...

the roms go into the 'roms' folder.. and it could be the frontend your using as well. i use mame32.exe

Mine was the shoot 'em up styles...
Galaga and it's various versions, Galaxian, 1942, 43 and 45
Time Pilot! but i did like Rygar!! i thought that was a cool game too. biggrin

Double Dragon Arcade is the one game that got me into video games in the first place! Still think it's the best!

my brother and his mate used to have 20 cent coins lined up on that machine. they only played it to fight each other at the end.. titter

not exactly arcade, but i did recently purchase "Top 40 Sega-Megadrive Games" for playstation 3. awesome.

me too.. sometimes i go back and play the older ones.. i got 18gb of old arcade games... never bored :)
