hey i cant play the first volume with vlc. they are document files for some reason??

Anyone have subtitles for these? The ones on Subscene for "Batman The Animated Series DvDRip x264 Complete" don't sych up and can't find single or bulk English subtitles anywhere. I find it odd that for a show considered so great, there are no subs to be found anywhere for English. For those that are going to be stupid and ask why I need English subs for an English series, I'm hard of hearing and thus need the subs to catch what they are saying.

In case anyone uses their PS3 to stream and is curious: The xvid files (volume 1) won't show up when using PS3 Media Server. However, if you rename the extension to .avi they will appear. You will also have to transcode though, the third option plays the files at the correct speed and with audio.

That's great, but how did you play the first season? I'm not as clever with the file-types. Somehow my laptop will not play xvid. It says that I have to search the internet for the program... where do I begin?
