Okay guys, this DOES work on Windows 7 32 bit, but I had to download a second patch. Here's what happened with me:
1: I mounted and installed with Daemon tools. Took forever (like 20 minutes) but it worked with no serial needed.
2: I drug over the files from the crack folder (game DOES come with one, explore the mounted disc to find it) and placed them in the game's "binaries" folder. Replaced files when asked.
3: Tried to start the game, got some "Seculaunch 9000" error.
4: Researched online a bit and found THIS crack: http://www.kickasstorrents.com/batman-arkham-asylum-crack-fix-all-the-problems-i-already-finish-the-game-with-it-t3064142.html.
5: Copied the contents of this second crack into the same place as the one before. Success.
After this the game DOES work, it DOES save, it just requests that you leave a little window open in the background while you play. Whatever, it's weird and imperfect but at least it works. I didn't have to create an offline Windows live account to save, but that's probably because I already did so with GTA IV. If this game asks you to set up Windows live, and if it's anything like GTA IV, all you do is tell it to set up an OFFLINE account, and this should let you save your games no problem.

This new feature is for reporting Fake torrents only if:
Torrents that are not released yet
Torrents that ask you to d/l codecs from different sites
Torrents that are password protected and the password is not in a text file with the torrent
Torrents that have no trackers listed
Please do not use this button for:
Reporting torrents that are dead
Reporting torrents with no seeds
Reporting software torrents that give false readings when using a/v scans
Reporting torrents that you cant get to work, ie games that wont run or software that wont load properly,
movies that have sound but no picture or vice versa
Reporting torrent that have trackers listed even if they are dead
